Robyn Kerry Saghian was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Arnold and Loretta Roman on November 5, 1950 and passed away peacefully on November 21, 2019.  She attended the University of Texas where she met the love of her life, Sion Saghian.  Sion and Robyn moved to Houston, Texas after getting married January 4, 1976.  Robyn was a loving wife, dedicated mother, one of a kind grandmother to her five beautiful grandchildren and a great friend.  She will be dearly missed by all those that loved her.

Robyn was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Roman, and her sister, Kathy Roman Podlogar.  Robyn is survived by her beloved mother, Loretta Roman, devoted husband, Sion Saghian, their daughter, Kimberly Saghian, daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Elan Tavor, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Rachel Saghian, her brother, David Roman and her pride and joy – her grandchildren;  Andrew, Alexa and Arianna Tavor and Eva and Amelia Saghian.

When Robyn felt well, she enjoyed an active lifestyle.  She was the first to show up at events for her children or grandchildren.  Robyn loved  time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.  She loved spending time with her daughter, Kimberly and took excellent care of her.   She enjoyed her weekly mahjongg games, lunches with friends,  cross-word puzzles, reading, and connecting with family and friends both in and out of town. From a young age, Robyn, enjoyed going to concerts of her favorite musicians; The Beatles, Celine Dion, Elton John, Cher and her all-time favorite, The Rolling Stones.

Robyn and Sion worked side by side at Brisket BBQ since it opened in 1983.  She enjoyed talking to customers and visiting with the employees who she considered family. In later years, Robyn would frequent the restaurant to have lunch and say hello to the diners.  Over the years, Robyn enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to visit family and friends for special occasions and going on cruises.  She enjoyed looking forward to the next planned trip. Her most recent cruise was The Disney Cruise with their two oldest grandchildren, Andrew and Alexa.

Anyone wishing to make a donation in Robyn’s honor, please consider the SHANTI BEHAVIORAL HEALTH organization.  This meaningful organization provides care to adults with existing mental health conditions.  Kimberly lives there.   Robyn truly loved and appreciated  the staff and caretakers at this Co-Op.
