Robert “Bobby” Alan Goldstein, 56, loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle and cousin passed away September 4, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 13, 1963 in Houston, Texas to Rose and Irvin Goldstein. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved parents, father-in-law Irwin Caplan and brother-in-law Steven Caplan.
Bobby is survived by his adoring wife Suzanne, mother-in-law Ada Caplan, sister Adele Croft and husband Steven, brother Jerald Goldstein and wife Jennifer, brother-in-law Robert Caplan and wife Alyse, sister-in-laws Elaine Caplan, Cherice Gerson and husband Howard, as well as aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved and cared for deeply.
Bobby embodied a sense of hope, optimism, and gratitude. He was resilient; despite numerous medical challenges, Bobby never failed to discover and appreciate life’s most precious gifts, always with a positive attitude. He loved belting Neil Diamond and Elton John, attending services at Beth Yeshurun, and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby strived to make each day better than the last; he valued learning and independence, and shared his passions with enthusiasm.
Bobby will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a sweet and thoughtful soul who deeply loved and cherished his wife Suzanne – their love and devotion to each other was an inspiration. They were truly a match made in heaven and provided each other with abundant love and care.
To honor Bobby’s memory, the family requests that donations be made either to Jewish Family Service or Congregation Beth Yeshurun.
