Risa Gail Litt, 45, passed away on June 8, 2017, after a long battle with cancer and a short one with an incurable virus that never diminished her spirit or her hope.
She is survived by her loving wife, Deborah Folsom; her adoring parents, Marilyn and Herman Litt; her brother and sister-in-law Greg Litt and Dr. Elana Rosenberg; nieces Nava and Eden; nephew Gabriel; uncle Maurice Litt,; aunt DoraLee Grinberg; and numerous cousins. She had many good friends and a very caring family that always kept her close in their prayers.
Risa was a sweet songstress and enjoyed music. She learned guitar from Debbie Friedman and loved playing for others from the time she was 9 years old.
She spent many years in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), managing departments for engineering companies and owning her own business for several years, training and placing trainees with various companies in the Houston area.
She was very proud of returning to college and earning her degree with honors from Lone Star College. She was an avid rock hound, collecting and offering beautiful rocks to many rock collectors and admirers.
Remembrances in Risa’s memory may be made to MD Anderson Hospital with appreciation for their compassionate care for Risa over the years.
