Paul Robert Weinstein May 18, 1942 - February 6, 2019

Paul Weinstein passed away peacefully on February 6, 2019. Paul was born on May 18, 1942 in Houston to Dr. Louis and Maxine Weinstein. He graduated from San Jacinto High School and the University of Oklahoma undergraduate and law schools.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Weinstein, his sister Jeri Shapiro, his brothers-in-law Marc Shapiro and Tom Bixby, his children Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Weinstein, Brett Weinstein, Brad Shagrin, Aaron (Kathryn) Shagrin and Amanda Shagrin. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Zoe and Mia Weinstein, Elliot and Evan Weinstein, and Charley and Brighton Shagrin.
Paul loved the law and was a practicing attorney for over 50 years. HIs initial practice in Tulsa focused on corporate law, but he switched to criminal defense after returning to Houston in the 1980:s. He was dedicated to his clients and enjoyed the courthouse camaraderie of his fellow attorneys. He was a highly respected member of the courthouse club.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Sunday Feb. 10 at the Beth Israel Cemetery, 1207 W. Dallas. Those attending will be welcome to visit with the family at a reception following the service.
