Michelle Anne Bland, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Youngstown, Ohio at the age of 50. Michelle was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 31, 1964 to John and Marilyn Sloan, she had an older sister, Cindy Ewers. The family moved to Hawaii where she attended Kalani high school. Years later she moved to Texas and pursued a career in real estate and property management. At the age of 27, she welcomed her first daughter, Devon Nicole. Shortly after, she married Robert Dallas Bland and was blessed with two more beautiful daughters; Shea Alexandra and Reanna Catherine. She dedicated her life to raising her children while still working hard to achieve several business goals. She enjoyed watching her children pursue their dreams and always looked forward to spending every moment she could with her family. Her pride and joy were her children and grandson. She cherished her days of watching her family grow and flourish. Michelle had a smile that was unforgettable, and could light up any room. There was no such thing as a stranger to her because she made friends with anyone she would meet. She was the person that would give someone the shirt off of her back. Even in the darkest of times she was able to see the light in any situation. She is survived by her daughters; Devon N. Bland, Shea A. Bland, Reanna C. Bland, Grandson; Ryan C. Nowlin, Parents; John C. Sloan, Marilyn K. Sloan, Sister; Cindy ¬¬M. Ewers, many beloved nieces and nephews, and friends too many to name.. The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to everyone for attending and continuing to pray for our family throughout this difficult time. Our time with her was cut short, but she was able to leave behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories, we now have an angel watching over us. Memorial services to be held at St. Catherine Methodist Hospital at 901 South Fry Road, Katy, Texas 77450 at 2:00 p.m, officiated by Rabbi Kahn.
