Lawrence Stanton Goldman April 18, 1940 - May 3, 2019

On Friday May 3, 2019, Lawrence “Larry” S. Goldman, a loving husband, father and Gampy passed away peacefully with his children by his side at the age of 79.

Larry was born April 18, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky. He grew up in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Oxnard California. He was happily married to Linda Sue Finegold for 42 years, until her passing from Leukemia in 2005. Together they raised one son, Steve and two daughters, Lisa and Laura.

Larry had a passion for many things and was involved in various civic groups and organizations. He enjoyed spending his weekends at Classic Car Shows, showing off his 1968 Pontiac Firebird. He was a proud member of the Hella Shriners and the Plano Shrine Club. In the spring you could find him cheering on his beloved Cubbies.  Larry was also passionate about his Jewish faith which led him to be an active member of Adat Chaverim.  He served many roles there including President. Larry was passionate about his family. He will continue to be remembered and celebrated by Steve Goldman, Lisa and Bart Walker, Laura and Brad Hill. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Peyton Walker, Ryan Walker, Krista Hill, Kiley Hill, Hunter Hill and Great Grand Children Prestyn and Pryce Allen.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Adat Chaverim located at 6300 Independence Pkwy. Plano, TX 75023; Burial to follow at Temple Emanu-El Cemetery located 3501 Campbell Street, Dallas, TX 75204 with Rabbi Sternman to officiate.
