Kayce Lynn Goldberg, 18 passed away from complications with Type I Diabetes on March 9, 2016 in Columbia, Missouri where she was a freshman at the University of Missouri. Kayce was born on April 14, 1997 in Dallas, Texas. She attended Levine Academy from Mommy and Me through 8th grade, and then attended and graduated from Hillcrest High School. Kayce was an active and vivacious person and truly beautiful on the inside and out. She was actively involved in all aspects of her school and community. She began dance when she was 3 years old and continued until she started cheerleading in high school. During high school Kayce was Secretary of the National Honor Society, Senior Class Secretary, Section Editor of the school yearbook, and Varsity Cheer Captain. At Mizzou, Kayce was studying Textile and Apparel Management. She was passionate about community service and gave freely of her time to many organizations. Her last selfless act was devoted to helping save and improving the quality of life to countless others as an organ donor.
Kayce is survived by her parents, Shari and Steven Goldberg of Dallas, brother Braden (Brady), sister Reghan, grandmother Judy Roffman of Omaha and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kayce is preceded in death by her grandparents Phyllis Goldberg and Marvin Goldberg, both from El Paso and Dallas and Dr. Blaine Roffman of Omaha.
Kayce’s radiant smile, easy-going personality and quick-witted sense of humor will be sorely missed by her family, friends, classmates, teachers and sorority sisters.
