Hymie Abramson June 4, 1924 - January 9, 2015

Hymie Abramson 6/4/1924 – 1/9/15 Hymie Abramson passed away peacefully  surrounded by his family on January 9, 2015. Hymie is preceded in death by his son Bobby  Abramson, brothers Sam Abramson, Harry Abramson, brother-in-law Philip Kligman, sisters-in-law Rose Greenberg, Doris Abramson and Ida Markman, and parents  Sarah and Haskel Abramson. He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 62 years,  Blanche Abramson, children Randy Abramson, Joni Hoffman, son-in-law Michael Hoffman,  daughter-in-law Rosemary Abramson, grandchildren Andrew and Matthew Hoffman, Sean and Brett Abramson, and Ryan and Carly Abramson. Also, numerous nieces  and nephews, sisters-in-law Charlotte Abramson, Edith Kligman and Fay Kligman, brothers-in-law Harold Markman and Sidney Kligman. Hymie will be remembered by his  family and friends for his contagious smile and sweetness. In the early years Hymie  attended San Jacinto High School and served in the Navy. He loved sports and was a huge  Houston Oiler fan that rarely missed a home game. Hymie was a partner at Metropolitan  Fine Furniture with his brothers Harry and Sam. He was in charge of advertising long  before computers. Creating ads took a lot of patience and Hymie never once got angry or  complained when an ad had to be changed after spending hours on it. Later in life Hymie  and Blanche founded Blanche Fine Jewelry. Hymie greeted every customer with a smile  and a kiss hello. In his 90 years he was never once known to raise his voice. Hymie  overcame many health hardships over the years including the loss of an eye but never once  complained or lost his spirit. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr.  Stephen Lapin, Dr. Shari Rubin, caregivers Ayaka Kalsum (AK) and daughter Rae, Vic  Berry, Jasmine Green and the loving team at Brookdale Senior Living (formerly The  Hampton.) Funeral services took place on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Congregation Beth  Yeshurun, interment followed at Beth Yeshurun Allen Parkway Cemetery. Pallbearers  were: Andrew Hoffman, Matthew Hoffman, Sean Abramson, Brett Abramson, Ryan  Abramson, Carly Abramson. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of  your choice.
