Gloria Gaman March 24, 1924 - January 10, 2018

Gloria Mae Gaman, 93, passed Wednesday, January 10th   2018 at the Veterans Hospital.

She leaves behind her brother Evie, 3 children Jan, Garry and Robin. 5 Grandchildren Lee, Jeremy, Seth, Justin and Jackie and 7 Great Grandchildren Kaylin, Matthew, Sydney, Aubrey, Ava, Kayla and Cameron. And many close friends.

Born and raised in Providence Rhode Island, daughter of Rose and Sam Weinstein, she later became a resident of Houston Texas where she spent the rest of her years with us.

In her early years she served our country by enlisting in the United States Army during WWII and has been a very proud veteran ever since. She was recently recognized at Minute Maid Park by U.S representatives Al Green and Sheila Jackson Lee for her time in service during WWII.

Gloria spent most of her life helping her late Husband Sam Gaman take care of their wonderful family. While Sam was at work Gloria would make sure the children always had what they needed and would always have a nice dinner waiting for Sam once he returned from a long day of work.

She was generous, loving, and enjoyed being a social butterfly. She loved the game of Mahjong and played it weekly with her close friends for much of her life.

As a member of the Congregation Beth Israel, faith has been a very important part of her life and you would usually find her sharing her beliefs with others. She attended many services over the years.

Gloria felt family was the biggest and best part of her life. She enjoyed the company, the hugs and kisses and she never failed to mention how much she loved them all.

In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
