Eula (Coleman) Fischl January 16, 1927 - February 25, 2019

Eula (Coleman) Fischl  January 16, 1927-February 25, 2019

Eula (Coleman) Fischl was born on January 16, 1927 to Joseph and Fannie (Stavinksy) Coleman in Dallas, Texas.  She and her three sisters grew up in the Dallas area.  She attended Forest Avenue High School and graduated in the Class of 1944.  She met her husband George Fischl at a Jewish Youth Group program when he picked her to share his lunch box with him at a fundraiser.  They were married 44 years until his death at age 65. She and her business partner, Evelyn Dritch, had a successful career as a real estate agent.

Eula enjoyed being with friends and family and would enjoy summer weekends at the family cabin at Lake Whitney. She loved to travel the world with family, especially with her sister, Idella and brother in law, Bob. She was a lifelong member of City of Hope, Hadassah, and Congregation Shearith Israel. Her family was her life, but once her daughters married and had children of their own, her heart only filled more with the love of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On Monday, February 25, 2019, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving daughters, Eula passed away with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Fannie Coleman; her husband, George Louis Fischl; her sisters: Sylvia Scolnic and Zelda Schackman.

Her life and legacy will continue to be remembered and celebrated by her daughters: Gail Weisblatt, Jan Shwarts and her husband Robin; her sister: Idella Partegas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren: and numerous nieces and nephews.
