She was one of the first members of Celebration Company and Project Shalom at Jewish Family Services in Houston.  Both groups were deeply rewarding and fulfilling for her.  She volunteered for more than 20 years at Chi St. Luke Hospital.  She loved delivering mail to all the patients at the hospital.  She looked forward to volunteering every week.  She took her volunteer position very seriously and hated missing “work”.

Special thanks are extended to present and past staff of Jewish Family Services.  She considered Jewish Family Services her second home.  The family would like to recognize Mira Rueveni for all the support and kindness she gave Elaine and family.  Additionally, the family thanks Joan Hoyer for being a true friend.
