Daniel "Dan" Paddock December 8, 1974 - September 24, 2019

Daniel “Dan” N. Paddock, 44, passed away on September 24, 2019. A native of Dallas, Dan was known for his kindness, generosity, gentle spirit and genuine concern for others, friends and strangers alike.

As a loyal Dallas Maverick’s fan, Dan collected countless collectibles and among his favorites were a signed Dirk Nowitzki jersey and basketball. Fascinated by all things Apple, Dan’s passion was contagious and he derived much pleasure from helping others with their devices. He also could not speak enough about his Tesla and all the fun things it was capable of. Finally, he was a super fan of the musical Hamilton and its creator, Lin Manuel Miranda.

Dan was charismatic, charming, compassionate, and deeply sentimental, a true family man. Above all, he was a romantic who found the love of his life in his bride, Elana. There’s was a great love story in the five years of their marriage. All will remember Dan for his warm smile, friendly nature and his ability to make others happy.

Dan was preceded in death by his late father, Dr. Arnold Paddock.  His life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by:  by his wife Elana (Zimelman) Paddock; his mother, Janis Paddock; and his brother, Michael Paddock.

I am so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I knew him for about 10 years and I am a better man for knowing him.

I fondly remember how he gave me his season tickets to see the Mavericks play. I took my oldest grandson to the game. It was the first time either of us had been to an NBA game.

Dan was a good leader who knew how to make and stand by a hard decision. He was also compassionate to those around him.

I and so may others will miss him.

May The Lord comfort you in your time of grief and loss.

My dear, sweet cousin will be sorely missed. He was a gentle soul who loved family, travel, work and his car! His passing leaves a huge hole in family & friends hearts. I know he is with Arnie now, although too soon. I choose to remember the good times & smile. My sincere condolences to his Mom, Mike and especially Elana, his loving wife. I am so glad you knew him even briefly and gave him happiness these past few years. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
