Carole was born on May 5, 1935, or as she liked to say, “Cinco de Mayo”
She was born in The Bronx, NY, and moved to Coney Island at 5 years old, where she spent the rest of her childhood.
Carole met her husband Ronald Henry Burg in Brooklyn at a New Year’s Eve party in 1954. They married on October 23, 1955, and they were married for 63 years.
Carole is survived by her husband Ronnie; her son Michael and his wife Jean and their daughters Sarah and Alexandra; her daughter Pamela; her daughter Meryl and her husband Steve and their daughters Melissa and Elyse.
Carole had a passion for writing and attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from North Texas State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She adored her granddaughters, and spent as much time with them as she could.
Her sense of humor was outstanding, creating fun in everything she did.
She loved needlepointing and knitting, and excelled at word games. She loved baking and filled her home with her handmade stained glassworks.
Carole never met a tchotchke she didn’t like.
